A. Applications are invited for filling up of 1 (One) Director (Documentation) post on direct recruitment/promotion/deputation basis in the Indian Council of Social Science Research, New Delhi in the scale of pay 15600-39100+7600 Grade Pay.
Eligibility Conditions :
1. Second class master’s or Ph.D. degree in Social Sciences.
2. Degree or diploma in Library Science.
3. At least seven years experience as a librarian of an important library.
4. Age below 55 years.

For Promotion: Promotion from amongst Deputy Director (Documentation) having rendered at least 3 years’ service in the grade. Transfer/deputation from person holding analogous or equivalent post of a Deputy Director (Documentation) in the ICSSR or a Central or State Govt. Department or autonomous organisations similar to ICSSR.
Note : Applicants working in a University/College as Professor, his/her salary will be protected as per Government of India rules.
B. Applications are invited for filling up of 5 posts of Assistant Director (Research) on direct recruitment basis (UR-2, SC-1, OBC-2) in the scale of pay Rs.15600-39100+ 5400 Grade Pay.
Eligibility Conditions:
(a) A Master’s Degree with high second class in any Social Science subject from a recognised University or Equivalent qualification.
(b) At least 3 years’ experience in teaching, Research in Social Science area and / or 3 years of experience of research administration in a reputed organisation. (Relaxable at the discretion of the Competent Authority of ICSSR for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidate belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes).
(c) Computer literacy is desirable.
(d) Age minimum 40 years. (Relaxable for SC/ST candidates upto 5 years and OBC candidates upto 3 years and other specified classes as per instruction of the GOI (crucial date for determining the age limits shall be closing date for inviting application)
