Appointment of Eighteen (18) Non-Ex-Officio Members of the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR)
The competent authority of the Government of India has constituted a Search– Cum–Selection Committee for the appointment of eighteen (18) Non Ex-Officio Members of the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR). The ICSSR, on behalf of the Search– Cum–Selection Committee, seeks nomination(s) from the ICSSR constituted collegium of eminent Social Scientists (www.icssr.org) consisting of National Research Professors of the MHRD in Social Sciences, ICSSR National Fellows, UGC Professor Emeritus in Social Sciences, recipients of Padma Award in the field of education from any discipline of social science, former chairpersons of ICSSR, present and former chairpersons of UGC, ICHR, ICPR, present Vice Chancellors of Central Universities belonging to social sciences and other scholars of eminence.
The collegium members (List is available at www.icssr.org) may nominate person(s) of national eminence with a proven contribution to knowledge through research in social sciences.
The nomination(s), to be considered for appointment as Non Ex-Officio Council Member, may be sent by any member of the collegium, so as to reach the Member Secretary, Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, New Delhi – 110067 on or before 10th April, 2017. Announcement of Results of Research Programmes for the year 2016-17
1. List of approved Research Projects for the financial year 2016-17
(Already issued award letters to the successful applicants)
2. Lists of provisionally approved Senior and Post-Doctoral Fellowships for the year 2016-17
1. Joining Report and Undertaking (on non-judicial stamp paper of Rs.100) as per the format enclosed at Annexure II A.
2. Grant-in-aid bill/Pre-receipt bill for the first instalment in format enclosed at Annexure II B.
3. An attested copy of Ph.D. Registration Certificate.
4. Caste Certificate in case of SC/ST/Persons with Disability.
5. Leave and salary certificate along with the pay slip (only for employed candidates).
In this regard, the list of scholars, provisionally selected, belonging to the General category may be seen at Annexure III, SC category at Annexure IV and ST category at Annexure V.

The awardees, on receipt of their provisional award letters, shall have to submit the following documents, duly forwarded through the competent authority of the University/Institute where they are affiliating their fellowship, within one month of the date of the provisional award letter:

5. Self-attested copy of Ph.D. degree (for Post-Doctoral Fellows only)

7. Current Salary slip showing the head-wise details; and also leave certificate for two years without pay. The employer shall certify that it will maintain your lien in the Post during the fellowship and allow you to return to it after the fellowship period is over. (only for those who applied for salary protection as per Clause 2.2 of the Guidelines)

The Selection has been made in accordance with the procedure as laid down in the ICSSR Guidelines for Doctoral Fellowship Scheme for the year 2016-17 after seeking the recommendations / approval of the relevant Committees.
